Mod look

Mod look
Mod is the term given to a look that appealed to the youth culture that, by the early 1960s, represented more than half of the world's population. The mods were a subculture in England whose love of Italian tailoring and neat dress was inspiration for the modernistic designs of André Courrèges, Rudi Gernreich, and Paco Rabanne, as well as looks from London's Carnaby Street designer Mary Quant. The look involved miniskirts, go-go-boots, and an overall futuristic aesthetic. The Beatles were among the music groups to promote the look.
